Complete Frame-off Restorations

The Body is removed from the frame and placed on a rotisserie or body dolly. The engine, transmission, suspension, fuel system, brake systems, steering, differential and axles are completely disassembled from the frame. The interior wiring, trim and glass are removed from the body.

We search all vendors and social media to find the best prices on parts and accessories available. We also attend local and out of state swap meets for hard to find items. For items that cannot be found or no longer available, our NEW 3D printing shop has already made a few parts to fill this need. Our complete 3D parts list will be made available in the near future.

Steel Body Repair

The body is media blasted to reveal all metal defects and rust. Replacing and or repairing the sheet metal can vary on each project. After market panels are fitting and sculptured for a perfect fit. All seams are spot welded sealed. Urethane primers are applied as each panel is completed. Once all repairs are made the doors, hood, fenders, front and trunk lid body lines are perfectly fitted. The car is then ready for blocking and sanding and made ready for painting.

Interior Restoration

Corvette Fiberglass Body Repair

Repairs require a specialized craftsman to replace and repair panels. Our fiberglass teams are top-shelf operators and pursue perfection in every detail. The body lines are adjusted and matched as needed. As each section is addressed, fiberglass is added and sanded down to perfection. It is then guide-coated and primed as the job progresses.

Frame Repair

Once the frame is completely dismantled, it is media blasted to reveal any defects or rust. The frame is then measured to assure it is within the factory specifications. In some cases, damaged sections have to be cut out and replaced. Fabricating and strengthening the frame is one of the services we provide. The frame is then media blasted in the repairs sections and either painted or powder coated depending on factory or customer requirements. If frames require a substantial amount of damage repair, an Original or Upgraded frame are factored in. The damage assessment is done prior to sandblasting to catch the obvious early on. We will then advise the client as to decide options and cost within their budget.

FAQ

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Vehicle restorations are basically the same procedure, but different in many ways. Our restorations have taken less than a year with some taking as long as 18 months.

At the beginning of each project, a complete evaluation of cost to repair versus cost to replace is determined. This is factored into the overall budget. For example: If there are several rusted out areas in a fender, the time to patch in new sheet metal and prep for paint may cost more than buying a new fender.

We typically use only PPG brand of paint. The application process is 3 coats of base color and three to four coats of clear.

This depends on the ambient temperature. We are located in the sunbelt so, three to four weeks to cure. After the paint cures the paint will need to be Cut & Buffed.

Regardless of the type of paint booth or techniques used, there can always be a small particle that gets in the paint. These small dimples or specs are sometimes hard to see. These are lightly sanded over and buffed to smooth finish. Once the small areas are addressed, the entire vehicle can be buffed to a mirror finish.

Yes, we have specialists that come to our location to perform this service.

Yes, we can accept items like transmissions, trailing arms, differentials, carburetors, etc. Generally, we will visit with you about what needs to be done to advise cost and turn around prior to receiving your items.

We run into this problem quite a bit with the 1950s & 1960s vehicles. We have fabricated many parts at our shop or machined replacements. We also do 3D printing for some parts and have used them on our own restorations. Materials used are soft pliable plastics to hard carbon fiber.

Our restorations usually follow the original paint code the vehicle came with. This is generally on a "number matching" restoration where authenticity is paramount. However, paint is usually up to the client. We do have an AI program that allows us to take a picture of your car and change colors & wheels. We can also do custom AI photoshoots and videos of your vehicle.
